Why does approval feel so heavy sometimes?

Because everyone wants it, but no one really talks about it.
You look for it in small things.
In reactions. In silence. In someone saying “yeah, that’s fine.”
And sometimes, even when you get it, it still doesn’t feel enough.

So who are we really trying to approve?

That’s the question we kept coming back to.
Late conversations, half jokes, half serious.
About how easy it is to burn yourself out trying to be accepted everywhere.

Someone said, “What if approval isn’t something you wait for?”
What if it’s something you decide?
That stuck with us.
Yeah.
This came from that exact thought choosing yourself even when it feels uncomfortable. Letting the noise exist, but not letting it decide your worth. Being okay with taking up space, even if not everyone claps.

If it feels a little bold, a little unapologetic good.
That means you’re probably doing something right.

Approved by you.
That’s the only one that matters.

Because the approvall that only matters is YOURS.
